The TSS Health Fair is just around the corner! Held annually, TSS has been part of the Ketchikan Community Health Fair for the past two decades as part of our company’s mission to support the well-being of the communities we work and live in.
Since the COVID pandemic, the event has been streamlined to blood screenings only. We invite our neighbors, clients and friends to come by our Ketchikan office (120 Carlanna Lake Rd.) from Monday, November 3 to Friday, November 14, 8 – 11:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, for their blood draw. No appointment is necessary, but YOU MUST FAST for at least 10 hours in advance.
This health fair exists to provide underinsured or uninsured patients with a good option to check on their health at a significantly reduced cost. We are able to keep costs down due to the high volume of patients and by negotiating with the lab provider for favorable pricing. This is also a great option for individuals who want to review specific areas of their blood work, such as cholesterol or A1C levels. It’s a great opportunity on multiple levels.
TSS offers various screening packages, including women’s and men’s wellness packages, as well as packages that focus on specific areas of concern, such as Vitamin D, cholesterol, diabetes, and thyroid. Costs will vary depending on the screening package you choose. Keep an eye out on the TSS website and social media platforms in mid-October for 2025 packages. Payment may be made via cash, check or credit card.
Having blood work done regularly is an important part of preventive care and may help individuals avoid significant medical costs later on. Blood tests provide a valuable snapshot of what is going on in your body and what you may need to pay attention to and discuss with a medical professional.
