When should you send an employee for drug and alcohol testing? What are the reasons for sending an employee for testing? How do I receive drug screening results? Whom do I call if I run into issues? What do I do with all this paperwork?

These are just a few of the questions you might have as the Designated Employer Representative (DER) for a U.S. Department of Transportation-regulated company. And, TSS’s expert trainers have the answers for you!

Over the last 25 years, we have revised and distributed our DER Handbook and taught many classes on DER responsibilities. Our goal for offering these resources is to ensure that we are working with DERs who understand the drug and alcohol testing process, DOT regs, the ins and outs of the program, what to do with all that paperwork and how to ensure company compliance. When you have a big responsibility, you need to know what you are doing, especially when you are following federally mandated procedures that directly impact workplace and public safety!

Join TSS for the YOU the DER training on January 27, 2026, at 10 a.m. AKT/ 1 p.m. CST.

This is an hour-and-a-half to two-hour class. We will talk about everything that matters to YOU, and we strongly encourage you to bring questions. This is the time for you to get the facts, ask about your concerns, and share your experiences.

The class is FREE for TSS, Inc. consortium members. To sign up, please email eric@tss-safety.com, and bring those questions!!!
